Program Overview

When the program is successfully installed on the main drive, in the HDSlog folder several other folders are automatically created and two desktop shortcuts appear.

HDSlog Folders

Ascii and LAS          Folder containing default data for use in HDSlog demos.

Bitmaps           Folder containing the color and patterns for curve fills.

Cross Sections          Folder to store data for use in the Cross Section application.

Data                    Folder where user saves all external data usually organize by company, project or field.

Help                     Folder with HDS Manual, Quick Start Guide and link to Tutorials.

Logs                    Folder records every executed task used in the program. Not the same as process history which is                                         stored in the .MDB file specific to the log.

Programs          Folder where Custom User Programs are stored.

 

Desktop Shortcuts

These two icons are default desktop shortcuts that appear when the program is installed successfully.
